On August 26, 2023, the 1st Rail Transit Stray Current Technology Seminar was successfully held at our university. Co-initiated by Beijing Jiaotong University, China University of Mining and Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, and Soochow University, the seminar was hosted by the School of Electrical Engineering of our university and co-organized by the Beijing Power Electronics Association, with Teacher Yang Xiaofeng serving as the conference chairman. Representatives from more than 20 enterprises and institutions were invited to attend, including rail transit operation, construction management, survey and design, and urban construction units, as well as university research institutes and mainstream professional journals.

As the first domestic academic conference themed on "rail transit stray current", the seminar featured opening speeches delivered by Wu Mingli, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, and leaders of the Beijing Power Electronics Association respectively. During the roundtable forum session, participating experts focused on the topic of rail transit stray current, conducted enthusiastic discussions on issues such as its current status, standards, and governance, and had in-depth ideological exchanges. These discussions sparked many in-depth reflections, formed a number of useful suggestions, and promoted in-depth research in this field.
