On June 16, 2024, alumni of the 1980 cohort from the former Locomotive Electric Transmission major of the School of Electrical Engineering returned to their alma mater to jointly celebrate the 40th anniversary of their graduation. A total of 24 alumni attended the event in person, while some who were unable to be present participated online.
The alumni held a discussion in the Electrical Engineering Building. Wang Deyu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electrical Engineering, and Wang Chenchen, Vice Dean, had a warm exchange with the alumni and introduced the development of the university and the school in recent years. The alumni talked freely about their deep nostalgia for their alma mater, shared their life experiences, and expressed good wishes for the future.

After the discussion, the alumni visited the University History Museum. They revisited the development history of their alma mater, learned about its changes, and cherished the memories of studying in the former No. 4 Teaching Building. They felt proud of the brilliant achievements of their alma mater and offered sincere blessings for its future.

Walking through the Red Fruit Garden, the alumni seemed to return to more than 40 years ago. They admired the beautiful scenery of the Red Fruit Garden, sighed at the changes of their alma mater, and shared the wonderful time they spent here. Every corner of the Red Fruit Garden has left the footprints of their youth, becoming an eternal treasure in their hearts.

The School of Electrical Engineering attaches great importance to alumni work, actively cooperates with and supports various alumni demands, and strives to provide comprehensive services. Taking this event as an opportunity, the school will make thorough preparations for the 2024 anniversary homecoming activities for alumni of different graduation years.
