On January 14, 2022, hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology (State Administration of Foreign Experts) and jointly organized by China International Talent Exchange Association, Winter Sports Management Center of the State Administration of Sports and other units, the 2022 Tea Party for foreign experts to welcome the Spring Festival and Winter Olympics was held in the Foreign Experts Building in Beijing. Li Meng, member of the Party group and vice minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Director of the State Administration of foreign experts, attended the tea party and delivered a speech. Lu Ming, a member of the Party group of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 36 representatives of foreign experts working in Beijing, winners of the Friendship Award of the Chinese government and their families attended the on-site activities. 100 foreign experts from more than 30 countries and regions attended the tea party online to congratulate the Spring Festival and welcome the Winter Olympics. Professor Sangchul Won, Vice President of the International School of Renewable Energy of our university, was invited to attend the tea party and record the Spring Festival speech.
The theme of the tea party is "Get together as a family and Go to the future together". In addition to the main meeting in Beijing, branch venues have been set up in Jinan, Chengdu, Fuzhou and Wuhan. Representatives of foreign experts attending the meeting have a joint celebration through video connection. Winter Olympic champions Yang Yang, Zhang Hong and foreign experts exchanged Spring Festival wishes for the complete success of the Winter Olympic Games, the early dissipation of the epidemic, stronger friendship and a better world.

Professor Sangchul Won, a Korean national, obtained his doctorate from Iowa State University in 1985. He once worked at the University of New Haven and the Steel Processing Automation Research Center in the United States. Now he is an honorary professor of the Department of electrical engineering and a scientific research professor of the iron and Steel Technology Research Institute of POSCO University of technology in Korea. In 1994, he won the Korean President's Award for his outstanding contribution to POSCO light source project; In 2002, won the woogwangbang academic achievement award of the Korean Society of control, automation and systems engineering; In 2009, he won the KACC best paper award issued by the Ministry of knowledge economy of Korea; In 2011, he won the best industrial project award of LG Electronics; In 2015, it won the IEEE industrial electronics Journal Award.
Professor Won has been employed full-time at International School of Renewable Energy of Beijing Jiaotong University since December 2016 as vice president, responsible for the teaching management and other affairs of the school, and has made outstanding contributions to the teaching, talent training and internationalization of the school.
