From March 31 to April 1, 2023, a delegation from the School of Electrical Engineering, led by Dean Wu Mingli, went to Shenzhen, Guangdong to carry out school-enterprise cooperation and exchange activities. The delegation successively visited enterprises including Googol Technology Co., Ltd., China Southern Power Grid Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Youyou Green Energy Co., Ltd., conducting in-depth discussions and exchanges on student training, employment, and school-enterprise cooperation. Vice Deans Wang Xilian and Wang Chenchen of the School of Electrical Engineering, Cao Junci, Director of the Institute of Electrical Machines and Apparatuses, and Wang Bangzhu, a teacher from the Institute of Electrical Theory and New Technologies, participated in the exchange activities.
The delegation of the School of Electrical Engineering visited Googol Technology Co., Ltd. and held in-depth exchanges with Wu Hong, General Manager of Googol Technology, and other enterprise leaders on scientific research cooperation, talent training, and practical training.
Accompanied by Googol's leaders, the delegation visited the company's production lines and products such as motion controllers, integrated drive and control systems, motor drives, software platforms, and teaching equipment. They also visited Googol's subsidiaries including Googol Motion Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Googol Servo Drive Technology Co., Ltd., and Googol Innovation Workshop, as well as the XbotPark Songshan Lake Robot Industry Base. After the visit, the two parties held in-depth seminars and discussions on joint school-enterprise cooperation, graduate training bases, and undergraduate practical training bases.

Key responsible comrades from the Innovation and Digitalization Department, Human Resources Department, and Electric Power Research Institute of Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau attended the meeting.
Yu Peng, Deputy General Manager of the Innovation and Digitalization Department, introduced the basic situation of Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau. He stated that based on the construction of the "Socialist Pilot Demonstration Zone" and the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau attaches great importance to joint innovation, with R&D investment increasing rapidly year by year during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. As a typical power-receiving urban power grid, Shenzhen Power Grid has identified four major innovation layouts including digital power grids and ten major scientific research directions such as virtual power plants. Yu Peng put forward suggestions on future cooperation methods, hoping that both parties can give play to their respective advantages in project planning and application, scientific research cooperation and award application, and innovative talent training and further education, to jointly create more innovative demonstrations in Shenzhen.
Dean Wu Mingli introduced the basic situation of the School of Electrical Engineering in discipline construction, talent training, and scientific research. He fully agreed with the cooperation suggestions put forward by Yu Peng, and stated that the two parties have achieved good cooperation results in superconductivity, direct current and other directions. He hoped to establish a normalized cooperation mechanism and platform to further expand the breadth and depth of cooperation.
Qiu Fangchi, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department of Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau, introduced the human resources and recruitment situation of the bureau, stating that it will further strengthen talent recruitment at Beijing Jiaotong University. Gong Junqiang and Liu Zijun, Vice Deans of the Electric Power Research Institute, introduced the key innovative R&D directions currently carried out by the institute and put forward suggestions for further promoting cooperation between Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau and the School of Electrical Engineering of Beijing Jiaotong University.

Before the meeting, Deputy General Manager Yu Peng also led the delegation of the School of Electrical Engineering to visit the site of China's first three-phase coaxial superconducting cable demonstration project. He introduced the basic situation of the project's R&D innovation and actual operation, and thanked the superconducting technology team of the School of Electrical Engineering for their contributions to the project.

Bai Jianguo introduced the basic situation of the company's development and operation. He stated that although the company was established not long ago, it has always focused on the R&D and production of new energy vehicle charging modules, adhering to driving the company's rapid development through technological innovation. He hoped to carry out in-depth scientific research cooperation and talent exchange with the School of Electrical Engineering of Beijing Jiaotong University, and especially expected the school to send high-level outstanding talents to the company. Wu Mingli introduced the basic situation of the School of Electrical Engineering, expressing the hope to further strengthen cooperation between the two parties in scientific research and talent training, and fully support the development of alumni enterprises. After the meeting, the delegation of the School of Electrical Engineering visited the R&D and production workshops of Youyou Green Energy accompanied by Bai Jianguo and Deng Likuan.
