According to the four-integration education method of "undergraduate-graduate integration, interdisciplinary integration, industry-university integration and international integration" of the university, the school sets modular curriculum configuration scheme with its emphasis on the cultivation of comprehensive attainments and abilities of language, mathematics and information, so as to strengthen the foundation, highlight cross-discipline, and promote the construction of new engineering discipline of electrical engineering.
Graduate training mode is innovated, with its emphasis on improving students practice innovation ability and team awareness. The graduate training program highlights the latest progress, the connotation and the development trend of the discipline. The school also set up graduate innovation fund to encourage students to publish high-level papers and attend high-level international conferences in related majors.
Industry and learning are integrated, and joint training of postgraduates is actively promoted. On the basis of the characteristics of the disciplines, the school took the lead in signing joint postgraduate training base agreements with some pillar industry enterprises related to the professional field. At present, there are 20 training bases for graduate students, such as Power Electronics Research Institute of China Power Electronics Research Institute and Beijing Saide Hi-tech Railway Electric Appliance Technology Co., LTD. The school has explored and practiced a variety of training modes, such as school-enterprise dual tutorial system, completing papers in enterprises, alternately completing topics and papers in universities and enterprises, and oriented training for enterprises, which have improved the comprehensive competitiveness of graduate students.
A complete financial aid system of scholarship, grant, loan and subsidy for graduate students has been established to guarantee the basic living needs during their graduate years and encourage them to study diligently. The basic scholarships and grants for graduate students, state student loans, "three grants", awards for high-level papers, together with other special scholarships set up by the university constitute the postgraduate grant system to support graduate students to complete their studies.
In the last few years, the school has continuously hosted and co-hosted high-level international conferences, and invited well-known foreign experts and scholars to offer courses and academic lectures for graduate students every year, so that graduate students can get access to the latest development trends in their disciplines. The school encourages students to engage in China Scholarship Council (CSC) exchange programs, as well as selecting outstanding students for joint training with foreign universities. It has signed strategic cooperation agreements with universities in the United States, The United Kingdom, Canada and other countries, therefore excellent graduate students can have opportunities to be sent and study abroad for joint training.
In recent years, the employment rate of graduate students in our school has stabilized at 100%, with the signing rate ranks first in the university as well. The rate of graduates to further their studies has been increasing year by year.
